The National Council of Arts Administrators is an organization whose primary purpose is to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas, the identification of problems, and the generation of shared solutions to the multitude of issues that confront arts administrators in higher education today. COLLECTIVE FUTURES, the 52nd Annual Conference of the National Council of Arts Administrators, convenes past, present, and future arts leaders of distinct institutional backgrounds to explore the role of collectivity and shared responsibilities in the creative management of resources, pedagogies, and innovations. Within the metropolitan city of Detroit, where community activism, arts activism, philanthropy, and business have facilitated new cultural vibrancy, College for Creative Studies (a private art + design school), Wayne State University (a public university), and Cranbrook Academy of Art (a private, graduate only institution) have come together to propose a consideration of the creative role of collective practices in the building of new futures. __________________________________________________ ACADEMIC FREEDOM February 28, 2025 4pm EST Join us for a conversation about how we can continue to engage our students & support our faculty in meaningful inquiry and research while upholding the principles of academic freedom. https://alfredu.zoom.us/j/93861009977 Session Hosted by NCAA board members, Lauren Lake & Sandra Murchison __________________________________________________ _ NCAA is proud to announce the 2024-2025 Administrator Fellows and Their Mentors Ann Kim, Associate Dean of the College of Visual and Performing Arts, University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth
